It is the time of year when the data calendars shape up for the coming year. The combined “Schedule of Release Dates for Principal Federal Economic Indicators for 2020” has provided the bulk of the dates for the major government releases from the Commerce Department, Labor Department, and Federal Reserve. Most private sources of economic data have yet to release their calendars for next year, but these should mostly be in place by Thanksgiving. The Whetstone Analysis calendar has been updated with the official dates and also includes dates for reports that have a predictable release patter, or the few that have already provided the data for 2020. Further updates will be made as information becomes available.
