The St. Louis Fed’s Financial Stress Index declined to -1.272 in the week ended April 5, largely undoing a brief uptick in the March 29 to -1.225 in the wake of the yield curve inversion on March 22. Overall financial stress remains low and with little sign that conditions are changing in a sustained fashion.
