The St. Louis Fed’s Financial Stress Index rose to -1.226 in the March 29 week, a fairly sizable week-to-week change from the -1.282 in the March 22 wee. However, the index is still consistent with very low stress for markets across the 18 variables it takes into account and it is likely that next week’s data will smooth over that bump.
